This duplex apartment has total area of 160 sq.m. and designed in very creative and personal way. The first floor feautres the entrance, bar, living room and bedroom. The bedroom and the living room both facing the large windows to the urban landscape of Tel Aviv. The interior designed to express the nature of the owner of the apartment. Colorful paving consist of random tiles provides a significant contribution to the design. A lot of retro furniture and accessories are used all around the duplex.
The work room is situated at the second floor where the owner could get by custom made wooden staircase. Come to the work room is like a ceremony because there is a long corridor before it. The room made with the spirit of Irish pub and colored in a deep murky green. Entire apartment shows that its designer is new to that. There aren’t any well known furniture brands used anywhere. Using of recycled materials just a bit of originality to the overall impression from the interior.

This apartment is located on level 16 of a circular 18 storey high tower in Darling Point, Sydney and takes up the whole floor. The location allows occupants to gain extensive views of the harbour, its bridge and the Opera House. Its latest interior design is done in modern style which maximize 360 degree views potential by Stanic Harding.
Spaces are radial than orthogonal and each room has as good connection to full window bays as possible. The ceiling treatment in the public spaces is designed to enhance this circular sense by installing thin, flush fitting fluorescent strips radiating out to the perimeter. This provides for a stronger and cleaner ceiling plane that is contributing to the quality of the space. The central core responds to the perimeter with the curved surface made up of beautifully finished panels upholstered in a padded wool fabric. These are either fixed or are secret doors to storage or robe areas. Vertical strip lighting located at set centres divide panels and provide feature or mood lighting.

Who sad that modern and glamorous interior should be cold? While redesigning this apartment in Mission Point, Stanic Harding made it not just glamorous but also warm and comfy. The kitchen-dining space of the apartment is combined with living-entry zone to clearly separate public areas from private. Two bedrooms are so well connected to natural light and the Harbour view outside that they looks even bigger in size than they are. The main wall of the public area was clad in full height mirror panels while the study space was raised above the main floor level and defined by a different floor finish. A dark timber veneer wall unit forms the edge of the living space and presents as a series of solid engaged columns that house audio visual equipment, cds, dvds, etc. A sliding screen that forms part of the unit’s composition when closed hides the plasma screen. That all made the area look very unusual and overall impression from the apartment become quite glamorous. [Stanic Harding]

Tokyo is one of the cities which is having a big growth of the presence of high-rise luxury apartments. They are usually quite big an have very expensive decorating. This one in Roppongi Tower Atlas isn’t exclude. It’s expected to be completed in February 2010.
Because it’s situated on 13th floor it has great panoramic views. The interior designer adapted to that and placed the sofa near windows adding the opportunity to enjoy the view but not usual TV. Lighting system isn’t simple in the apartment. Besides lighting from ceiling there are indirect lighting, wall brackets, floor lamps and so on. So the lighting around the apartment is adjustable for any needs. The entrance hall has great bracket piece of Japanese paper art. Mirror glass walls make this piece viewable from everywhere near it. The bathroom besides bath has mirrors from both sides and TV built-in in the wall. Besides usual but great modern kitchen the apartment has the bar where owners could spent time with their guests. There is also big-screen TV to watch favorite sport games. When the building would be completed, this apartment would be great urban luxury addition to the Tokyo streets.

The transformation of this “mansion” apartment on the outskirts of Tokyo is a great example of adaptation of post-war housing stock into not only affordable but also comfortable accommodation. Mansion apartments are usually very small rented to a single occupant. This apartment is a 400 square feet space with modern minimal environment where owners could not only rest and relax but also work. Internal partitions were demolished to maximize light penetration and provide open-plan living arrangement. Closets and other storage space is hided behind sliding doors. The integrated plant box positioned above cooking area strikes a line of green vegetation across the space. A small changing room serves the bath-shower wet room and contains a bespoke compact vanity unit. The bathroom features natural timber and Hinoki wood which has a relaxing texture. The toilet not only has mat black walls which contrast with almost fully white interior design of this apartment but also features water saving technologies like using re-filtered water. [BAKOKO]
