Living Pod, an apartment unit designed by Joey Ho Design is inspired by nature and incorporates its leafy surroundings into living spaces. Three young brothers and sisters are owners of the apartment so it’s designed in very modern iPod-like style. Curved shapes are a backbone of the design. A streamlined wall feature horizontally and vertically wraps around the living space, protruding from the walls, creating large floor-to-ceiling curves that alter the shape of the space. In the living room two curving sofa chairs dominate the view. To keep focus on design features, the apartment is predominately white and an epoxy resin floor reveals reflections like a pond. Green was used in the painting to reinforce the natural setting. [Joey Ho Design]

This apartment is located on level 16 of a circular 18 storey high tower in Darling Point, Sydney and takes up the whole floor. The location allows occupants to gain extensive views of the harbour, its bridge and the Opera House. Its latest interior design is done in modern style which maximize 360 degree views potential by Stanic Harding.
Spaces are radial than orthogonal and each room has as good connection to full window bays as possible. The ceiling treatment in the public spaces is designed to enhance this circular sense by installing thin, flush fitting fluorescent strips radiating out to the perimeter. This provides for a stronger and cleaner ceiling plane that is contributing to the quality of the space. The central core responds to the perimeter with the curved surface made up of beautifully finished panels upholstered in a padded wool fabric. These are either fixed or are secret doors to storage or robe areas. Vertical strip lighting located at set centres divide panels and provide feature or mood lighting.
Everything in the apartment follows modern and luxury interior design trends and makes it great place to live. [Stanic Harding]

Minimalist Yet Comfortable Apartment Interior Design in Only 3 Colors
The simplicity usually associates with discomfort while the comfort with exuberant forms and colors. This apartment was designed as minimalist as possible without losing in comfort. Only 3 colors was used in this apartment color theme: white oak from the floor tiles, dark grey from the mirrors and white from emulsion paint. The furniture and wall structure around the apartment is as minimal as possible but without losing in functionality. As usual for such kind of apartments the living room is combined with kitchen and dining room to create feeling of space. Mirror walls make the bathroom looks much bigger than it is. Combination of such tricks could add a bit of freedom in urban living. Barrie Ho Architecture, who designed this aparment’s interior, successfully created modern and comfortable place for living.

Who sad that modern and glamorous interior should be cold? While redesigning this apartment in Mission Point, Stanic Harding made it not just glamorous but also warm and comfy. The kitchen-dining space of the apartment is combined with living-entry zone to clearly separate public areas from private. Two bedrooms are so well connected to natural light and the Harbour view outside that they looks even bigger in size than they are. The main wall of the public area was clad in full height mirror panels while the study space was raised above the main floor level and defined by a different floor finish. A dark timber veneer wall unit forms the edge of the living space and presents as a series of solid engaged columns that house audio visual equipment, cds, dvds, etc. A sliding screen that forms part of the unit’s composition when closed hides the plasma screen. That all made the area look very unusual and overall impression from the apartment become quite glamorous. [Stanic Harding]

The owner of the apartment wanted to get up in the morning at the sea. He also always wanted to be closer to New York bars. The game of color, light and geography made the work.
The apartment become 150 sq.m personal spa where every window, long part of the main room and a significant part of the roof are look to the sea. Four windows moved together could give the owner the ability to spent day under the clear sky. The interior is the game of blue, gray, black and white colors with natural and artificial light. That made it look glamorous and modern. Parquet floors add a bit of old-fashion sense and warm to the interior even though they are dark colored. Floor parts made of glass with blue light under it make the feeling that the apartment not just have sea views but also are really on water. As the owner said after the renovation: “I feel like I live at the sea, as I always wanted, while having all possible comfort”.
