Back to basics! This house is done in the traditional style. Even the exterior is traditional, with its fountain and a bench near the entrance. Inside you will find a red living room with traditional fireplace and furniture but there are several pieces of Marocco style. The sideboard and chandelier in the dining room remind of a fabulous life and parties. In the bedroom only a big TV shows that it’s a modern house and it’s not the 19th century. The kitchen and the swimming pool outside look very contemporary. I love the terrace outside, it’s very convenient and modern. Fantastic traditional island in the big city jungle!

This classically designed home is located near Seattle overlooking Lake Washington. It’s designed for active and growing family so there are plenty of areas for gathering and entertainment. The main floor is designed especially for spending quality time together and in private while the lower floor includes media and play rooms. Because the owner of the house is a professional baseball player, besides standard areas like a generous lawn and a big garage there is also a 70-foot-long batting cage integrated into the site’s design. House “Ö” is designed by Erginoglu & Calislar Architects to give its owners a modern life style but keeping the style of the area. It is situated in Bodrum, holiday district in Turkey. Outside it looks like the house designed in traditional side but inside everything corresponds to modern needs. The kitchen is open plan on the ground floor and the bedroom is upstairs. The living room with fireplace is on the mid level connecting private and service areas. Swimming pool separates the neatly building from the garden and raw rocks outside the site. The absence of walls which usually separate living areas and large windows with spectacular surrounding views add the feeling of transparency to the house. [Erginoglu & Calislar Architects]
